We are a group of volunteers from many different fields.
Under the medical leadership of Dr. Daniel Benjamin Gonzales and
the organization of Dr. Tina Kokkinis, individuals, companies and
organizations facilitate the realization of this project. Dr Daniel Benjamin Gonzales, 40 years old, Belizean, general
practitioner and OB-GYN, experienced the inadequacies of the
medical care system throughout his entire childhood. It was then
that he decided to improve the medical situation in his country.
After his successful studies in Mexico and Guatemala he returned
to San Pedro and worked as a general practitioner for several years,
before he decided to continue his studies to become an OB-GYN in
order to fulfill his dream and that of his fellow citizens to build a clinic,
where even surgeries would be possible.

As the medical leader of the project he knows where the money is
needed most. He is in charge of donations and makes sure that every dollar
and Euro spent are used most efficiently. Dr. Tina Kokkinis, 30 years old, German physician, completed
several internships in Mexico and Belize, while studying at the
Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen in Germany. In 1999 she
organized her first developmental aid transport to Belize, which
was the start of the Belize Project. Influenced by travels and
international contacts of her family, she developed a love and
respect for foreign cultures, countries and peoples. Out of this grew an interest and the desire to work abroad.
